Already a customer?
LoginOne of the most often asked questions we get is “Why should we use WT Cox Subscriptions?” To that question we can only share how we are helping libraries that are already our customers.
We don’t want to over simplify what we do, but our customers use us because we help and simplify the purchasing and management of their serial/journal/magazine collection. Matter of fact, we try our hardest to take an area of the library which is typically considered a pain and a hassle to manage, and we try to be fun, professional and exceptionally helpful all at the same time. We have over 19,000 customers who find us very easy to work with.
In a nutshell, results. You’ll always hear us described as “they are easy to work with,” but what does that really mean? It means we provide results. To questions, we provide speedy and accurate responses. For claims, we’re quick to get in touch with the publishers and provide the resolve to the concerns you are having. For electronic journals we consider the IP address to be the same as a ZIP code—and it’s our responsibility to help you get access to a title just like it’s our responsibility to make sure print subscriptions land in your mailbox.
We always keep in the forefront of our minds that we are an extension of your library staff and that we exist to be a helping hand in your library and that we ultimately work for you—this is engrained in our training.
We have a cool little graphic that helps with that. But here it is in a nutshell: Let’s just say your library orders 500 titles. What we do is place the orders for you with each publisher, preventing you from completing 500 different order forms and writing 500 different checks. And then we make sure you have access to all 500 titles. We then invoice you once for those 500 titles. Then when problems arise with a subscription (and you know they will) we’re there to resolve those issues. When it’s time to renew the subscriptions, we provide renewal options so you can easily renew.
We help with access, check-in, reporting, and all the details that help you manage your collection.

With each title there are so many data points and to keep up with – and that’s our expertise! We are in business to know all of the details and provide that information to you. So we also help you manage your subscriptions by knowing all of the intricate details about each and every title. This is a very simplified answer for something that involves so many details, but hopefully you get the gist.
The quick answer to that is “Yes, we do.” However, there will always be some publishers who require you to order their title direct.
It’s rare for those publishers to allow any agency to order their titles. If you can get a title through another vendor, you can get it through us. We provide print and electronic, domestic and foreign and even local and regional publications.
With pharmaceuticals, universities, public libraries, special libraries, medical libraries, zoological, Federal Agencies, school, and an array of corporate libraries all using our services, we have the extensive collection that is sure to entail the titles you are looking for. The magic number we provide is 275,000 titles. Yes, that’s a lot of titles!
We have a wonderful subscription management system online called CoxNet. It allows our customers to place orders, see renewals, view invoices and payments, add additional users and gives you a plethora of bibliographic details about your collection. It's full of reports and subscription management tools that will make your job easier. And if you need a person to talk to, you still have a personal Customer Service Specialist at your disposal.
